Senpai Phill Sedgmond Chief Instructor

& Welsh Clicker Coach

Senpai Phill has recently been made the Chief Instructor of Barry Kyokushin Karate Club, for 5 years he was the assitant instructor and and has trained under Sensei Richard Males (previous Chief Instructor of Barry Kyokushin) for over 10 years. He achived his 1st Dan in July 2008. Senpai Phill has won many tournament titles over the years and more recently won both English and British titles in the same year. Senpai Phill's achievement over the years have been rewarded with the Branch Chief of Wales appointing Senpai Phill as Coach of the Welsh Clicker Team. Senpai Phill is now training hard as he is attending The National Winter Camp in 2013 held in scotland where he will attempt his 2nd Dan

Tracy Davies, Assistant/Club Secretary

Tracy Davies has been assisting Senpai Phill in teaching at Dinas Powys and at Barry.

Peter Hilldrup Treasurer / Assistant

 

Peter Hilldrup joined Barry Kyokushin in 2006 and has been a valuable member of the club. Peter took on the responsibility of Club Treasurer in 2007. Peter has been assisting Senpai Phill by taking control of club finances and assisting with teaching.

 

Alan Lawson, Committee Member/Licence Officer

Alan Lawson has been with Barry Kyokushin for 3 years and has been keen to assist the committee with running the club and was recently made a committee member and Licence Officer.

Staff have regular meetings with Senpai Phill to discus various issues regarding the club, any senior students that wish to attend these meetings are more than welcome, please see your Instructor to find out when these meetings will be taking place.
