Who is it for?

The Young Lions Program

The Young Lions program has many great benefits to its students. Many styles only take students from as young as 6yrs old. This is mostly due to complexities of the style. However, as we all know, Children absorb information and retain it well through play. Our program involves a fitness regime, discipline, routine and, without them knowing, some great self defence all through the cunning disguise of play.

What can it do?

We’ve found this can do several things:

  1. It encourages some great self confidence in young children
  2. It teaches respect for others and teachers
  3. It helps them seek a responsible peer group when in school
  4. It helps to build co-ordination and improves social skills.

How do we do it ?

We have taken the complexities of the Kyokushin 10th Kyu (1st grade) syllabus and broken them down into manageable sections which the children then are graded on through the program until they complete the program or turn 6, when they will be moved to the Kyokushin mainstream class to continue their Martial Arts journey.

This
EXCLUSIVE, 1 of a kind program is only available through Barry Kyokushin Karate club and we are committed to the development and progression of our students to create young, respectable martial artists. We are highly trained, professional instructors who have vast knowledge and education in what we teach. So you can be sure your child is in a safe and welcoming environment.
